An Ordinary Year
Will this year be our last? Will this year be better or worse than 2011? In God's plan it will be ordinary. Just like Ordinary Time focuses on the three-year ministry of Christ and on his day-to-day words and actions, all of which were revelations of God, so too, we should focus on our day-to-day words and actions and look for daily revelations of God's presence. As St. Therese of the Child Jesus pointed out in her "Little Way" to holiness and as St. Josemaria Escriva taught in Opus Dei, our everyday words and actions make us saints or sinners, and lead us to heaven or hell. I pray you have an ordinary year with Christ, which truly will be extraordinary in every way.
